Circuit

Miami International Autodrome

Miami, United States

A temporary circuit laid out around the Hard Rock Stadium, mixing long straights with a genuinely awkward slow-speed section in the middle. It looks like a street circuit in places and a permanent track in others, which is part of why teams struggle to nail the setup.

What the lap demands

Two long straights bookend a technical middle sector with a set of tight, badly cambered corners that are easy to get wrong. The surface offers less grip than most permanent venues and the track evolves substantially across the weekend.

How the racing unfolds

The straights are long enough for real overtaking and the DRS zones are effective, so the order moves. Heat is the other factor: track temperatures here are punishing and tyre management often decides the closing laps.
