Zandvoort runs through the coastal dunes north of Amsterdam, an old-school circuit brought back to the calendar with steep banking added at two corners. It is narrow, quick and completely unlike the modern venues around it.

What the lap demands
The banking at Hugenholtz and at the final corner lets cars carry far more speed than a flat equivalent would allow, and it changes how the car has to be set up. The lap is short and flowing with very little respite, and the surface offers less grip when sand blows in off the dunes.
How the racing unfolds
Narrow and difficult to pass on. The banked final corner feeds directly onto the main straight, which helps a following car use DRS, but there is not much space anywhere else.
