Câmara replaces Ocon at Haas

Haas announced on 14 October 2026 that Rafael Câmara has signed a multi-year deal for 2027, replacing Esteban Ocon alongside Oliver Bearman. Câmara is 21, leads Formula 2, and comes through the Ferrari Driver Academy, the same pathway Bearman took to this team. Haas confirms Câmara for 2027. Formula 1 on Câmara’s Haas deal.

Esteban Ocon announced on 30 September 2026 that he will leave Haas at the end of the season, and Haas confirmed it. Ayao Komatsu had put the contest on the record on 4 September: five drivers, Ocon among them, and a choice he said would be settled on speed rather than on what a driver brings with him. Ocon confirms he will leave Haas.

RacingNews365 reported on 11 October that Câmara and Jack Doohan were the final two after testing. The Stint reported on 5 October that Leonardo Fornaroli is set to join McLaren’s WEC Hypercar programme in 2027. The names below are the other drivers Haas considered.
